| Miami was great, Callum loved it. The energy, the heat, the ocean… along with other things that were around. But, he missed certain things not found in Florida, like ice skating, snow, the biting cold of the winter. This wasn’t just a fun trip though, even though he had a lot of that in mind, but he had a bunch of charity work to do. He invited Saylor to come with him. He wasn’t sure, he was just crazy perhaps but he liked her. Some random meeting at a coffee shop because there was no room to sit, and now he was actually developing feelings for her. it worried him though, she was so much younger than him. age was just a number, but it worried him that it was just creepy. maybe that’s why he invited her with him, it would either put his worries to rest or make them worse… either way it was going to be okay. he had a town car pick him up first, then headed to her place. he had instructed her to pack light, because well… he was going to spoil the crap out of her. it was new York city, he was sure she would enjoy it.. or he hoped. he had told her they were going to new York just for a short while.. well, he actually had to be there for a few days. he had charity still to do, but he left that out. he didn’t need people knowing the ways he spent his money. instead of the miami airport, they went to a private airfield where there was a small private jet waiting for them. it was ready to go and they were finishing up their safety checks. the crew were ready and callum escorted her to the jet, letting her go up as their bags were loaded. he made sure all was secure as she went in. the jet was quite roomy, instead of regular stuffy airplane chairs, were roomy couches and comfortable seats that had buckles. it was comfortable, but obviously they needed to be strapped in for take off and landing. wheels were up in fifteen and it was only a few short hours they landed in NYC.
the plane landed and his phone was already buzzing. he sighed as he answered it, his lips pressed in a tight line. ”callum…” he paused as he listened to the voice on the other end as he looked at his watch. ”I thought those were scheduled for tomorrow?” he questioned feeling frustrated. he nodded resigning. ”alright.. he driver already knows the address?... okay…” his accent sounded strained as he spoke. ”yes… I told you I was bringing someone… well, I suppose they will have something interesting to torment you about.. yes.. I have everything arranged… don’t worry about it.. I’ll get there as soon as we’re done, we’ve just landed.. I know, I have to books with me..” he paused and scoffed bitterly. ”don’t worry about anything, you’ve clearly messed this up and as far as I’m concerned, business is the only aspect of my life that you should be worrying about..” he hung up his phone and put it in his jean pocket. he looked at her as they crew got the door open for them to exit the plane. his frustration was still there, clearly, but it softened as he looked at her. ”I know we just landed, but apparently I have something to do in brooklyn.. um.. I can have a drive take you to the hotel or.. whatever you want, shopping?” he asked her. he didn’t expect her to want to come with him. she didn’t even know what they were doing.. he didn’t feel the need to brag about it. ”it should only take no more than an hour.. just an appearance somewhere…” he added, his broad shoulders shrugged.
before he could even make a full out plan or get her opinion a lady around his age stepped onto the plane, wearing a simple black dress and heels. he gave her a tight smile. she almost immediately knew what happened ”they didn’t tell you?” she assumed. she let out a giggle seeing his outfit ”I’m sorry…I just… clearly you didn’t know.. because… well.. you don’t dress this casual for anything ever…” she giggled again, covering her mouth to calm herself. when she calmed she handed him a folder. "this is your itinerary… I’ve left some time for you..” she glanced to Saylor before looking back at him ”for some down time.. you basically only have to be somewhere after 11… and you’re not going to be anywhere later than three… except the last night.. which everything is set up there..” she said before looking to saylor with a smile. ”you must be saylor.. callum has told me quite a bit about you.” callum actually shifted uncomfortably. ”anyways… whatever Saylor wants to do…’ he said calmly. he looked down at her, wondering what she would want to do. he shrugged into his leather jacket before grabbing one he grabbed for saylor, being in miami cold was different from nyc cold. |

| miami from the beginning had been a good thing for her, and her twin brother, and she was glad that they were able to magically disappear from their parents grasp. not that it was extremely hard! she had always been nothing that the casual encounter from the coffee shop was on the verge of a budding relationship. it honestly scared her to the point where she second guessed herself everytime when she was away from his side, and even tired flirted with other guys but it always was haulted when something physical came out of it; that was true towards here, but not accurate when the two just met. callum was an older gentleman, and it was true that she was so much younger than him; however, it was rather vigorous work to find a guy around her age with a good head on his shoulders and wasn't already seeing someone in the serious sense. the day had all started with a town car with the previous instructions to pack light, but in her living conditions her packing light would be packing her regular amount of clothes for her. she didn't have a lot of spending money that made it towards buying new clothes, and managed to take good care of clothes, the thing that managed to get them was regular wear and tear. the airport caused her to get nervous and tried not to cling to him, but she tended to get a little nervous when that many people are crowded with several different things going on under one roof. she was thankful when they had a private airline, and it was nice to spent some alone time with the charming man that caused a soft rose color pink to her lips. despite the fact that the jet was roomy, all she wanted to do was sit next to callum with her head on his shoulder or sitting across from him to be able to play chest. she wasn't like the sterotype of blond, considering she had a good chip on her shoulder - or however that saying goes.
it wasn't long after the plane landed before his phone started buzzing, and she looked up at him with a soft pout, "already? unfair." she mused, as she carefully stood up and smoothed out the creases that formed while she was sitting comfortably around the gentleman. her hand lifted from her thigh and reached over towards him since she was behind him, her fingertips brushed against his hand and briefly held his hand to give him a silent support. a moment later she let go, so they could descend from the plane carefully, but he stopped to ask her a question that caused her eyes to lift up to meet his, "can i go with you instead? or is that not an option." she responded in a soft tone, while softly chewing the inside of her mouth and didn't want to put too much strain on her presents with this trip. she just wanted to spend this time with him, considering that she hadn't reached for her phone with and she was certain that most young woman her age never hesitated to see what texts/phone calls that they missed. she heard his comment and softly smiled, "i'm sure it'll be fine, not like it'll take all week for this one event." she answered him, and playfully winked. she hadn't forgotten to pack some things for night to showcase her curves and appeal to him, and allow nature to take it's course. she wanted to spend some intimacy time with him, but that obviously wasn't all that she was after with him considering that she genuinely liked him. she could see something serious happening between them, but she wasn't going to push anything on him.. she wasn't physco.
she ran a hand through her hair, while she hadn't really recognized the woman that made herself comfortable in coming in the private airline. she looked down for a brief moment, before looking up at him and back at her when she said something about an itinerary, but she couldn't be sure that nothing had been going on between them previously. she stayed quite while the two of them conversed about something that was going on after a few after the two of them landed. she could feel the cold leaking out into the plane, and her arms crossed as if that would help her shield herself from the cold. she looked up at the woman when she heard her name, and gave her a polite nod, "yes, and good things?" she responded to the lady. she was curious as to the topic of these conversations and will probably over-think things now. "i want to go with you, if i may." she answered a little louder with a little more confidence in her voice. her hand slide into his and entertwined her fingers with his while softly smiling up at him. |

| callum couldn’t help but smirk lightly at her words. he leaned over and brushed his lips over her hair with a chuckle. he felt her fingers on his and took her hand lightly and gave her a small squeeze. he heard her and nodded his head slightly at her question. ”I’m not sure how much fun it’ll be… but you can come with me.” he said softly. he looked down with a smile. ”I wouldn’t have invited you to come with me if I was just going to ditch you all day.” he added with a small grin. callum looked at his publisher and gave her a kind smile. he blushed a little when she mentioned that clearly saylor came up in conversations. he helped her with her coat, with a smile. he nodded his head again at her request. ”you can come of course…” he said softly. he smiled down at her giving her a slight wink as he gave her fingers a gentle squeeze. ”I suppose I should introduce you two… Saylor this is Mary, my publisher.. Mary… this is Saylor…” he said letting the sentence die out before he could label it. he wasn’t sure what this was between them, but that was what they were here for.
the publisher smiled kindly. ”of course you can come darling… I just got off the phone with the school and Louise… I told them we needed at least an hour since you two have just gotten off the plane and need to make yourself comfortable..” she said with a smirk looking at callum again. ”those jeans…” she said with a shake of her head. callum shook his head. ”nope.. I’m staying in the jeans..” he said simply, his accent rolling off his tongue, you could practically hear the smirk with his words. ”maybe louise should learn to give an advance on what schedules she has me on.. you know since I pay her for that.” he said with a shrug.
with his fingers stilled laced with saylor’s he led them out into the cold weather. it reminded him instantly of home, except it wasn’t wet enough here. he looked at saylor once they were safely on the ground, wondering if she would like England or not. the bags were just getting loaded into the trunk of the town car. he waved the driver off and opened the door to the back seat. he helped her in before climbing in behind her. mary got in the front seat and gave the driver the address. ”we’ll be there in twenty minutes…. then you have about 20 minutes to get cleaned up or whatever… and then we have to make it to Brooklyn before the hour is up.” she informed callum.
callum nodded his head vaguely paying attention. he sat there, his hand still in her’s. he leaned over and his lips brushed the top of her head again. mary kept rambling about that they would be doing that week, but callum wasn’t really paying much attention to her, he politely nodded and commented where needed. it was a short ride, before they got to the hotel, it was one of the best in nyc. he helped saylor out, keeping a hold of her hand before he walked into the large building. he checked in and got two keys. he gave her a smile handing her one of them. he escorted her (and the bell hop) to their floor, it was a quick ride before they made it to their floor. he walked with her to the door, he skillfully unlocked it and ushered her in, followed by the bell hop. he tipped him more than nicely before he shut the door after him. he looked around, then at her. ”I hope it’s not too much… I just really like this hotel…” he said with a small smile.
"they have really amazing room service.. and there is a ballroom downstairs, that's where the large event will be at the end of the week.. and until then it's for dinner, it's suit and tie dress code though.." he said with a shrug. |

| saylor always seemed content around callum, and he tended to wash away the daily stress on how was she going to feed her and her brother day by day. this week resulted in her buying enough food for the week, and hugged her brother before she had left on her trip. she shrugged when he warned her that the event to come might not be too much on the fun side, and gave him a smile, "you act like i can't handle that." she playfully teased. "well i would hope that you wouldn't." she responded, with a shy grin and meeting his eyes. it was something that she enjoyed about him that he was able to make eye contact with her, and she felt like he hadn't had the nerve to lie at her. "i mean it's not very hard to key your car for leaving me for the day, but of course, you could afford that." she joked, and softly laughed. she seriously wouldn't do that, she wasn't that type of person and it sounded like some physco bitch move. she stayed pretty quiet when the lady came on the plane and started chatting away, she politely waved when callum went through introductions, "i'm curious as to what has been said about me." she mused with a small grin. she was a naturally curious person, and she wanted to know what callum said about her or how he actually felt about it. but she had also noticed that there was no label behind her name, she was just saylor..nothing more...nothing less. ouch on the ego, right?
she softly giggled at the publishers comment about his jeans, and had to keep her dirty comment to herself since there was another pair of ears present around them. sometimes she never was sure what type of behavior she should act around other people with him, considering that she normally didn't care what other people thought of her - which came with the environment with the way that she grew up in. she had been through the trail and error method, she was also the one that had to grow up way too fast to take care of her brother. she also suffered from mild eating issues when she was younger, but was slowly getting fully confident in everything. she ran her free hand through her hair, while they were in the car with the woman constantly talking about what would be going on. her eyes were looking outside and enjoying the view, considering that she only traveled to miami from where she used to live, and well were she used to live wasn't the greatest place to function properly. her free hand was placed lightly on her leg with her fingers drumming against it, she blushed every time she looked down at her other hand which was holding callum's. she wasn't exactly sure what she was getting herself into, but she was enjoying the ride while it lasted; she had figured that he would become bored of her and her weirdness after some time.
saylor had followed his direction when they got out, since her eyes kept wondering around and it was more extravagant than anything she had been able to witness. she had been handed the room key, in which, she slipped in her purse that matched her outfit and had gotten on sale. being around him caused her to grow uncomfortable when he started paying expensive things, that weren't even close to her budget range. she'd pout and complain sometimes that he would spend too much money on her, but gave in when it came to food or things that she could wear around him. she looked around at the room that the two of them would be sharing, "this is bigger than my apartment with my brother." she commented while being in the bedroom while he's still in the living room and walked back, "don't you dare randomly show up to give me keys to another place." she playfully threatened him. she walked back up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, "so how should we dress for this little event?" she asked, glad that she at least dressed semi-casual when it would appear that this was as casual as callum was capable of when it pertained to the public. |

| callum smirk. ”key my car? is that all..” he mused playfully. he could say that other women had done worse. callum’s broad shoulders shrugged. ”nothing that you shouldn’t know about yourself already.” he said back with a smirk. well, nothing that he didn’t see at least. his publicist was worried what this relationship might do to his image. in the beginning, she basically sad what everyone was thinking, saylor was out for his money. callum refused to even utter those words and he yelled at anyone he knew professionally that she wasn’t like that. mary, his publisher, she thought it was great and encouraged him to find out more and actually be happy, to hell with what people thought, her own words.
callum enjoyed nyc, he had been here a few times for book signings and interviews. he always stayed in this particular hotel. when he heard her words he frowned slightly. this room wasn’t even that big really, not compared to what he was used to. he gave her a look and her next words made him smirk softly. he welcomed her embrace, his hands wrapping around her easily. ”I wish you would let me help take care of you though…you and your brother..” he said quietly. he didn’t like her living situation, and he had plenty of money to go around. with her next question he just shrugged. ”casual…” he said simply. ”I’m not going to change…” he added as he leaned over and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. ”I do need to primp though.” he teased as he let her go. he rummaged through his simple leather bad and found his toothbrush and toothpaste. he was thankful at least this place had two bathrooms. he gave her a grin and a wink before he went into the smaller of the two and brushed his teeth quickly, yet thoroughly.
a little over fifty minutes later, they arrived at a small school in Brooklyn. callum still held her hand as they were escorted into the building. he was suddenly ever concerned about this school and the children. he had only requested a school that needed help and he knew now that this was probably the worst on. inside was worse, the school was all but completely run down. he chewed on the inside of his cheek, but politely introduced himself to the staff and got a dirt glare of his publicist. after that they ushered them into a small class room, that looked over crowded. ”mr. greene, this is the first grade class room..”, he assumed it the was teacher this time. all the children sat on a purple carpet waiting. they all joined in saying ”hello mr. greene” he smiled at them, reluctantly letting go of saylor’s hand, almost immediately they offered her a seat. callum took the notion to push aside the seat that was there for him to sit on, and sat down on the floor with the children, awkwardly getting into a criss-cross sitting style. ”thank you.. but please call me Callum.” he said softly to them. his demeanor changed drastically with the children; his tone was soft, his eyes were bright, and he was smiling. something in the back of the room caught his attention though. a reporter. his lips tightened in a line. ”I’m sorry, but I need you to leave.. these children don’t need to be photographed for a story… if you want an interview or details, please talk to Louise, she’ll be more than happy to help you.” he said firmly. this wasn’t a publicity stunt and he didn’t want it to look like one. he got himself settled again before he was handed a stack of small books. it didn’t take him much longer to start reading, they were Christmas books of course, classics. he became very animated, using his hands and changing his voice for different characters, taking on a rough and somehow gently voice for santa clause. in took about firty minutes for him to finish and then he just sat there with the kids, listening to them talk about this and that, sometimes asking him questions, that he so happily answered.

| "i probably wouldn't even do that, i'm not a very violent person." she said, but she was a tidy person when it comes to certain things. "i'm better at holding grudges and glaring." she playfully teased back at him, with a soft smirk. syler was the one between the twins that was on the violent side, but there was a small possibility that something could trigger that side of her. her attitude normally stayed on the need to have a steady control over the somethings that are going along, just too keep the day to keep going steady. she also knew that there was a possiblity that this was a fun little fling that he was doing to be able to go with it, so she knew that it would be best to keep her emotions in check.
saylor had only been to the places that travelled with her brother, syler, that would grant them access to Miami, FL from their original birth place. she would just rather not think about how it was dealing with the parents, and how sick some of them were. "it doesn't work like that, hon." she responded to him, while glancing towards him. she was never exactly sure why he wanted to pamper here, and she lasted this long without being able to have anything in particular to allow her lifestyle to go a lot smoother. "well, in that case, i'll touch up on my make up and hair." she responded, with a small smile and kissed him back, and gently nipped his bottom lip. his vocabulary was refreshing to hear when she heard him use terms that she normally didn't hear from a normal man, it caused her to softly grin and the fact that he had an accent caused her her mind to turn into mush sometimes. she turned on her heals and picked up her make up bag, opened it and perfected her make up while he took his time freshing up his mouth.
her hand gently held his as her fingers were entertwined with his, and she wasn't exactly sure how long the two of them would be invested into each other. she had looked around looking at the school that seemed like it barely had enough funding maintaining the school, so the building wouldn't collaspse and harm others in its dispear. when they were in a small classroom, she carefully walked towards the back and leaned against the wall that had random learning posters. she gently nibbled her bottom lip, while she listened and watched what was going on in this particular classroom. very slowly, she moved down to the floor and sat down next to some children that one of them grabbed her hand and gently pulled her down. her legs clung together and held herself up using one arm, softly smiled towards the kid and looked back over at callum curious as to why they were here in the first place. she enjoyed watching how much he changed in the presents of children, and this caused her to softly grinned and gently rub theback of her neck. she didn't think she was very good with children, since she was very particular with what went on with both hers and her brothers lives. she was worried about what was going to be for dinner from a day to day biases. watching his interactions with the kids was amusing to her and noticed that it didn't take him long to join them on the purple carpet that looked like it had some form of designs at one point. her heart went out towards these kids, but there was literally nothing that she could do for these kids. she let out a soft chuckle, when he basically wanted to photographer to leave at once, she gently shook her head and pulled out her phone, considering that she felt like her bottom was going to cause it to break and it was hurting her bottom. she was even more amused as she listened to him read the kids Christmas books, and somehow it opened up a door that caused her to feel like she was starting to fall for him. or perhaps, she was just now realizing that she could see that she was starting develop strong feelings towards him. |
