[presto]TALK ABOUT THINGS AND NOBODY CARES Wearing other things that nobody wears her fingers tapped against the surface of the counter that barely echoed in her mothers boutique in the city's limits, and they were painfully slow. a bandaid wrapped around the tip of her index finger, it was a careless accident caused by a needle when she was sewing on decoratives on the lovely hate she was making for a festival. she could remember turnip head fussing at her when she was leaving, and basically walked her to her work place, but he left moments after when he decided that he would rather not be touched by random strangers today. turnip head was a mere kitten when she found him in an alley way, starved from hunger and affection; it had tugged on her heart strings enough for her to take in the lone survivor. she thought of herself as someone that could have ended up as a cat lady down the street. a small smile spread across her lips when a small child accompanied another older lady, the small child wanted to order a hat and give her specific details on what she wanted on the hat and what she didn't want to see. "oh miss, you're a demanding little girl, but i'll try to have it ready in a week due to the other orders holding production back." she responded to the little girl, sophie was not allowed to go in her hat making process if she was the only person there and she was currently the only worker located in the building.
it wasn't long before she found herself wondering around the apartment looking for her beloved kitten, also unaware of the location of her handsome boyfriend. it wasn't until she made it back home that she realized that her beloved furry feline never made it back home. a sense of nausia hit the pit of her stomach, as she found herself dismissing the idea of doing homework and headed out back into the streets. the sun had barely begun to set as she made her way into the city, calling out his name without the simplest of care on what over folks think about it. she could sense the judgement cast upon her, but she didn't care about that. all she wanted was to be able to do her homework with the sutle purring sounds excaping her Turniphead. a few hours had past and her phone has been ignored while she had been searching for her beloved animal, until she finally gave in and pulled out her phone. she didn't pay much attention to anything that she missed, and dailed the one person that she counted on. tears rolling down her pale cheeks, at the sound his familar voice, "i don't know where he is...somethings wrong, i can't find him anywhere in this city." she said, choking back from sobing. "what if someone hit him?" she questioned, knowing that she was thinking the worst because of the level of attachment she had over the animal."can you come get me?" she asked, barely above a whisper. she felt defeated and like a part of her was missing.

| school, homework, work, and spending time with sophie. those were the things that usually filled his days and made them pass by almost alarmingly fast. time had been going by so fast that he could barely believe he and sophie had known each other and been together as long as they had. honestly, part of him wondered how he had lived the way he had without her. she completed him, and he had never even known he was incomplete. on this day, however, he was almost ridiculously bored with nothing to do except for writing a report on the back story of a protagonist in a theoretical game he would design. ignoring the report that was due days from now, and needing to be left by sophie while she went to work in her mother's boutique, he had decided to go to spend time with his best friend. calcifer was free so often that howl was beginning to wonder how much of the company's responsibilities were actually put on his shoulders and if they really mattered very much in the full scaled of hayes industries.
it was getting to be time when sophie would get home when howl was trying to worm his way out of the hotel suite his friend had moved into after howl had moved into an apartment with sophie. he hoped she had gotten his texts about being at calcifer's and that she wasn't home wondering where he was. he knew how focused she could get when making hats and, since he hadn't gotten a reply, figured she probably hadn't even noticed her phone go off. he moved his avatar into a safe corner to answer his phone while it rang, he alarmed voice speaking to him the second he answered. "shh, it's okay, soph. don't worry, i'm sure he's fine. just tell me where you are and i'll come get you." all he had to do was look at his friend to earn his way out without too much grief. pulling on a light jacket, he headed out of the hotel and to his apartment. |

[presto]TALK ABOUT THINGS AND NOBODY CARES Wearing other things that nobody wears paniced that something very tragic happened to her beloved animal, and it felt like a part of her was slowly starting to die. she was now sitting on the damp ground, but she no longer cared about the condition of her clothing materials. "what if something atrocious happens?" she asked, panic filled voice. the back of her hand wiped the tears off of her cheeks while looking up the sky; she was reminded how terrifed she was of the dark. her irrational fear of the dark was never taken care of as a child but only made worse with lettie's help in the matter. "i've made my way to the park, i'm under a tree." she answered him, when she regained control over her sobbing. she wrapped her arms around her legs while staring at the ground while feeling in the pit of her stomach starting to tilt to the point where she felt like she should start eating her feelings.
being an introvert downplayed her ability to gain friends through classes, so turnip head and howl were all she really had that was remotely form of attachment. she had a few select friends, but said friends tended to be quiet folk that didn't intimate her to hiding in her shell. her phone picked at that moment to drop the phone call and loose service for a moment, she felt close to chunking her phone but that would be out of the norm behavior for her. she took that moment in the dark to check her messages and redailed howl's number, "sorry, my phones a dick." she responded to his voice, she felt drained and needed her man to comfort her and maybe even some comfort foods. "did you have fun at cal's house?" she asked, with a small smile. despite all of her negative feelings towards him, she was supportive over the obvious bromance because it gave howl someone else to be around when she had to be a responsible adult. "i hope he turn ups.." she whispered out loud, while looking up at the sky.
